When I started this service, it was more to scratch my own itch. I wanted weather alerts to my phone, but didn't want to pay what could amount to significant amounts of money to do so. A little research and some work, and I was able to create this service, at very little cost to myself, and since then, a lot of other people have found it valuable as well.
Over the years, I've had a few inquiries about donating to the site. I've generally just thanked people for their interest and not really provided a way to donate. The site really only costs me about $100/year to run, so there are no significant expenses. Recently, when one member asked for a way to make a donation to the site, I decided to accept.
The money will go to Jesse's Journey. They support research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), which has directly affected our lives.
